Who is this for?
MMA at Legion is not about "toughness"—it is about intelligence and teamwork. We cater to three specific profiles.
The Total Beginner
No combat sports experience? No problem. We break down the complexity of Mixed Martial Arts into safe, logical systems so you can build your skills from the ground up.
The Grappler Adding Striking
If you have a background in BJJ or Wrestling, our MMA program shows you how to integrate striking safely without compromising your grappling base.
The Performance Athlete
For those looking to test their limits. Our technical environment provides the grit and detail necessary for those who want to reach a high level of functional mastery.
The Three Ranges
Our MMA syllabus is built on the seamless transition between the three critical phases of a fight.
The Striking Range
Technical kickboxing and boxing adapted for the MMA stance, focusing on distance control and timing.
The Clinch & Wall-Work
The "hidden" game. Mastering the wrestling and control tactics used against the cage and in the tie-up.
The Ground Game
MMA-specific grappling, focusing on dominant positioning, ground-and-pound mechanics, and high-percentage submissions.
The Senior Award Pathway
At Legion, progress is intentional and mat-tested. To move to the next level, you must complete the required training time and pass a formal Grading.
White Award
Basic striking mechanics, defensive posture, and fundamental takedowns.
Blue Award
Integrated transitions between striking and grappling; basic wall-walks and ground control.
Purple Award
Advanced tactical sequencing, signature series, and cage-specific wrestling.
Brown Award
Elite-level chain attacking and strategic proficiency across all ranges.
Black Award
Technical mastery and the ability to refine the art for others.
The Progression Standard
Each award represents a deep commitment to the art. Mastery of each tier is achieved over a minimum of 1.5 years (18 months), based on a consistent training frequency of twice per week.
